Sequera Foundation stands on a simple, powerful belief:
Those who’ve lived a challenge are best positioned to lead its solution.
Sequera is where former Newcomers give back by paying forward the support once received.
Our Board and leadership are composed of recent and established New Americans- refugees, asylees, humanitarian parolees, immigrants, and children of immigrants- who direct funding, partnerships, and strategy for impact within their own communities.
Each initiative grows from lived experience: access to education, mental health, reentry support, and youth empowerment designed by the very people who understand these journeys most.
At Sequera, “giving back” means building onward- creating opportunities, wellness, and belonging that ripple outward through families and neighborhoods. When the call comes from within, communities thrive, and every act of paying forward becomes part of a shared legacy of hope and equity.
We’ve been there. Now we’re building what comes next.
Voices of Impact
We center lived experience in every decision. Our board and community councils guide strategy, shape priorities, and ensure that solutions come from those closest to the challenge.
Youth & Reentry Empowerment
We create spaces for multilingual and justice-impacted youth to learn, lead, and rebuild—strengthening education, resilience, and community connection.
What We Do
Education & Economic Mobility
Experience becomes opportunity through targeted mentorship and training, expanding language access and opening pathways to equitable education and employment.
Wellness & Belonging
Trauma-informed, culturally grounded programs promote mental, emotional, and social well-being for families in transition—building stability through healing and inclusion.
Two-Generation (2Gen) Lens
Youth thrive when families thrive. Our programs intentionally support both young people and their caregivers- connecting generations through education, wellness, and opportunity.
